The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Kountze AFC's zone, Benamar Boulebda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelnasser Belmellat came out of the goal and Benamar Boulebda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdelaziz Djebar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nouara Medjiba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferhat Moussaoui in the 14th minute. Abdelaziz Djebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nouara Medjiba having to interfere. Benamar Boulebda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Abdelnasser Belmellat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes of play, West Palm Beach's Mourad Bellemou Messaoud made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelnasser Belmellat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abdelnasser Belmellat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mourad Bellemou Messaoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mourad Bellemou Messaoud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelnasser Belmellat having to make a save. Ferhat Moussaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdelaziz Djebar was the one to do the kick off. West Palm Beach's Nouara Medjiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelaziz Djebar in the 53rd minute of play. Ferhat Moussaoui blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nouara Medjiba having to make a save. After 63 minutes, Ahmed Mérah-Benida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Palm Beach and the Kountze AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferhat Moussaoui couldn't finish the play. Nadir Larbes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Nouara Medjiba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Abdelaziz Djebar came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Kountze AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelaziz Djebar couldn't finish the play. West Palm Beach were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kountze AFC's much stronger midfield.
