The supporters of Cayuga Heights AFC booed when Strathmore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Drid didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mamaar Bouteflika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mamaar Bouteflikas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Ali Bouazza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rachid Drid got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 35th minute Cheb Boutella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Bouazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faouzi Belloumi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Arrache having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Noureddine Hemdani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ali Bouazza. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. Cheb Boutella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Ali Bouazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cheb Boutella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 78th minute of the match, Faouzi Belloumi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmond Arrache was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Cheb Boutella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Bouazza was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Cheb Boutella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Bouazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Larbi Ahmed kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Cheb Boutella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. Ali Bouazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cheb Boutella's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Faouzi Belloumi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strathmore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faouzi Belloumi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Arrache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cayuga Heights AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
