The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute, Bendjedid Madjer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cuba's Mouloud Belkacem got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to Graysville AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ahmed Belkacem hit a great ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuba's goalkeeper Salim Seghiri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 56 minutes of play, Cuba's Nordine Bellemou Messaoud made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mustapha Yahia was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Belkacem in the 62nd minute of play forced Cuba's goalkeeper Salim Seghiri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustapha Yahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menad Chaib, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 88 minutes, Menad Chaib made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Graysville AFC's Mustapha Yahia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Cuba's zone, Ahmed Belkacem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salim Seghiri came out of the goal and Ahmed Belkacem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bendjedid Madjer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Seghiri having to interfere. Cuba's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
