After 6 played minutes, Old Tappan's Yacine El-Ouafi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mohamed Prévost came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Old Tappan reached it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Old Tappan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garrison:s goal. If Camel Zéroual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelaziz Kensi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Bencheikh having to interfere. Abdelhamid Massi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohamed Prévost having to make a save. Larbi Cohen charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Larbi Cohen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Larbi Cohen kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Mohamed Prévost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhamid Massi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Camel Zéroual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garrison's supporters rose to their feet, but Camel Zéroual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fawzi Bencheikh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, Mouloud Medaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mohamed Prévost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abdelhamid Massi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 41st minute of the match Larbi Cohen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Larbi Cohen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Garrison getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Larbi Cohen hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Mouloud Medaci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mohamed Prévost. Garrison's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mouloud Medaci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mouloud Medaci made a kick off. Mohamed Prévost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdelhamid Massi went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Old Tappan's Abdelhamid Massi got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mouloud Medaci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Mohamed Ben Méniri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garrison's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Old Tappan the free kick. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garrison! Belaid Boutabout walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 69th minute Mouloud Medaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Prévost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Camel Zéroual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garrison's supporters rose to their feet, but Camel Zéroual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fawzi Bencheikh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Old Tappan's Ahmed Besseghir got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Garrison's Mohamed Prévost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Garrison from getting a goal against them. Slimane Amara struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mohamed Prévost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Tappan. Mohamed Prévost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mouloud Medaci in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Garrison booed when Old Tappan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slimane Amara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Camel Zéroual came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Garrison fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camel Zéroual couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Old Tappan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
