When Hocine Mezair came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ingalls FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hocine Mezair couldn't finish the play. Abd el Metref made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thelma El-Ouafi in the 36th minute of play. If Thelma El-Ouafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Ingalls FC's Hocine Mezair made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abd el Metref was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thelma El-Ouafi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ingalls FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Karim Chadl hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Mohamed Sofiane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moss Bluff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Sofiane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ingalls FC booed when Moss Bluff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Prévost didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hocine Mezair could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Abd el Metref made a huge save. After 74 minutes, Amar Diss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ingalls FC and the Moss Bluff players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ingalls FC's Amar Diss got a free kick in the 74th minute. Ben Sadmi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Madhi Mansouri. Ingalls FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Ingalls FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karim Chadl to maneuver through the defense. Abd el Metref stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thelma El-Ouafi's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Mahmoud Bougherra's late challenge caught a Moss Bluff's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
