In the 15th minute Abdelmalek Taha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferhat Cohen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gouverneur's goalkeeper Chadli Oussalah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Noureddine Saïdi-Sief got in the 20th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Chadli Oussalah handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Abdelmalek Taha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ferhat Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferhat Cohen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelmalek Taha, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hameur Massi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Noureddine Saïdi-Sief came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Bogota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noureddine Saïdi-Sief couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Gouverneur's goal looked a bit too open when Mamaar Yacine came free, but Chadli Oussalah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Hameur Massi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferhat Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelmalek Taha in the 38th minute of play. Gouverneur's Abdelmalek Taha got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Bogota's Noureddine Saïdi-Sief sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chadli Oussalah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Abdelmalek Taha made the kick off in the second half. Bogota's Ferhat Cohen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelmalek Taha in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hameur Massi in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferhat Cohen saved Bogota from getting behind. Abdelmalek Taha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Abdelnasser Khendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gouverneur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelnasser Khendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
