The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Butner AFC's Chadli Diafat got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Kasdi Fergani fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Butner AFC's protests and gave Kasdi Fergani a yellow card for diving instead. 6 minutes into the game, one of Butner AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Real Mandril a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nasreddine Assad, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Butner AFC's Abdelhamid Aliche. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Butner AFC's zone, Tedj Makkeb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelhamid Aliche came out of the goal and Tedj Makkeb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tedj Makkeb in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdelhamid Aliche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hicham Ibrir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ali Belmellat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tedj Makkeb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mokdad Meniri in the 47th minute of play forced Butner AFC's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Aliche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Butner AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Mandril were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tedj Makkeb was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Chadli Diafat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butner AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Mandril the free kick. Tedj Makkeb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelhamid Aliche having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Real Mandril's goal looked a bit too open when Billel Mesbah came free, but Ali Belmellat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hicham Ibrir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ali Belmellat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Hicham Ibrir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Belmellat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
