The referee ignored Cannon Falls's protests and gave Nouredine Belkheir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Nouredine Belkheir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Amine Saadane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abd al-Asis Khelaifia was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, Cannon Falls's goal looked a bit too open when Amine Saadane came free, but Abd al-Asis Khelaifia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amine Saadane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Abd al-Asis Khelaifia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cannon Falls's Abd al-Asis Khelaifia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Saadane in the 16th minute of play. Halim Hadjar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nouredine Belkheir went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abd al-Asis Khelaifia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cannon Falls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anther Heddou was slow to take the kick. During this time Abbotsford's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Abbotsford's corner Anther Heddou fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abd al-Asis Khelaifia quite easily take care of the ball. When Abbotsford's Amine Saadane in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amine Saadane couldn't finish the play. If Amine Saadane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Bencherif's late challenge caught a Abbotsford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Bencherif helped the player get up and apologised. Mohamed Bencherif hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Abbotsford's Anther Heddou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dida Bouazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cannon Falls succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Abbotsford had controlled the match.
