In the 20th match minute, Kendallville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tayeb Méniri to maneuver through the defense. Chadli Meriem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fodil Ziani. Lili Belkacem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kendallville FC's goalkeeper Fodil Ziani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fodil Ziani was a little too slow when Hakim Kouici got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-1. After some careless play in the Kendallville FC defense, Chadli Meriem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodil Ziani. The Kendallville FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodil Ziani should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sodus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
