In the 12thth minute of the game Abdelhamid Hamrouche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sodus's Yacine Abdessalam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Abdelhamid Hamrouche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunrise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Hamrouche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lili Belkacem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Nasserredine Chedda made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Fadhil Mecherara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yacine Abdessalam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Sunrise's Nasserredine Chedda got control of the ball when Lili Belkacem tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Abdelhamid Hamrouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lili Belkacem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Nasserredine Chedda made a huge save. The supporters of Sodus booed when Sunrise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boubekeur Djebar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by Tahar Rimitti. Nasserredine Chedda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakim Kouici, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes Sunrise's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chadli Meriem who took care of the corner kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Fadhil Mecherara, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Yacine Abdessalam was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Sodus's Hakim Kouici in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sunrise's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hakim Kouici in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nasserredine Chedda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Hakim Kouici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nasserredine Chedda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sunrise's Fadhil Mecherara in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sodus's goalie prevented a goal. Yacine Abdessalam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fadhil Mecherara in the 73rd minute of the match. Nadir Megharia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Fadhil Mecherara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Yacine Abdessalam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fadhil Mecherara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sodus's zone, Abdelhamid Hamrouche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yacine Abdessalam came out of the goal and Abdelhamid Hamrouche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sunrise's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
