A hard shot 20 in the game by Hamid Merah from a close distance when the talented Fathi Djeziri managed to make a qualified save. Isle of Palms FC's players were relieved. If Moulay Ali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute of the match Mohamed Ben Guendouz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fathi Djeziri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Isle of Palms FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jean-Michel Sadi hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Isle of Palms FC's goalkeeper Fathi Djeziri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamid Merah. Hamid Merah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Stewart Manor AFC's René Bella got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Yazid Sam fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fathi Djeziri, passed just outside the right post. If Yazid Sam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Isle of Palms FC's Fathi Djeziri got control of the ball when Hamid Merah tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 40 minutes, Benamar Dziri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Isle of Palms FC and the Stewart Manor AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benamar Dziri hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ahmed Zaaf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Michel Sadi in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes, Isle of Palms FC's Bouabdellah Belloumi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmed Zaaf came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Isle of Palms FC reached it. Hamid Merah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moulay Ali to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Sam in the 75th minute of play forced Isle of Palms FC's goalkeeper Fathi Djeziri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Michel Sadi charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Michel Sadi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
