In the 3rd match minute, Cedar Grove AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amrani Kermali to maneuver through the defense. Salah Ulansi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Rabah Zenia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cheb Kermali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cedar Grove AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cheb Kermali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Zenia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mansour Medjoudj hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Ahmed Djamel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmed Reda Sofiane was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 24th minute, Ahmed Djamel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salah Kafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmed Reda Sofiane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmed Djamel's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Cedar Grove AFC's Ahmed Reda Sofiane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salah Kafi in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Cheb Kermali fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rabah Zenia, passed just outside the right post. Salah Ulansi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rabah Zenia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Reda Sofiane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salah Kafi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cheb Kermali made a kick off. With a little luck, Cedar Grove AFC's Ahmed Reda Sofiane got control of the ball when Salah Kafi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cheb Kermali might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rabah Zenia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cheb Kermali ran back to his position shaking his head. If Salah Kafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Cedar Grove AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Djamel came free, but Ahmed Reda Sofiane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmed Reda Sofiane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Djamel in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cedar Grove AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Sofiane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, Ahmed Djamel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Djamel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salah Kafi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ahmed Reda Sofiane made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cheb Kermali in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rabah Zenia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Salah Kafi came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the New Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salah Kafi couldn't finish the play. Cedar Grove AFC's Salah Ulansi got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Mansour Medjoudj was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cedar Grove AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Madrid the free kick. In the 81st minute, Mansour Medjoudj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Cedar Grove AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Sofiane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salah Kafi. Salah Ulansi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cheb Kermali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, New Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Salah Ulansi came free, but Rabah Zenia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Salah Ulansi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rabah Zenia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
