When Camel Madouni came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Willimantic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camel Madouni couldn't finish the play. After 5 played minutes Willimantic got a freekick which was hit by Lounès Hamdoud. 12 minutes into the match, Cambridge FC's goalkeeper Samir Djebar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Hamdani. Daniel Hamdani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willimantic's Camel Madouni was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Camel Madouni hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Djamal Boufroura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jussef Kraouche having to interfere. Willimantic's Jussef Kraouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Said Abbas in the 29th minute of play. If Said Abbas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Willimantic's Yazid Yacef got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Willimantic getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lounès Hamdoud hit a great ball. Cambridge FC's Samir Djebar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cambridge FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Hamdani could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Samir Djebar however easily saved by the left post. Cambridge FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Camel Madouni 49 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camel Madouni was the one to do the kick off. If Camel Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djamal Boufroura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jussef Kraouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Soltani Kerbouche charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Soltani Kerbouche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Willimantic got a freekick which was hit by Soltani Kerbouche. After a rather tough play, Cambridge FC's Djamal Boufroura got a free kick in the 69th minute. Daniel Hamdani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camel Madouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Samir Djebar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Slimane Aggoune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Hamdani in the 95th minute of play forced Cambridge FC's goalkeeper Samir Djebar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samir Djebar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camel Madouni in the 100th minute of the match.
