The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antoine Medaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djamal Boufroura in the 4th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes, Cambridge FC's Ahmed Aribi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antoine Medaci came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cambridge FC reached it. Antoine Medaci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Said Abbas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ferhat Said hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Djamal Boufroura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Djamal Boufroura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Pauls Valley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Djamal Boufroura came free, but Antoine Medaci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Pauls Valley FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ferhat Said hit a great ball. When Ferhat Said fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pauls Valley FC's protests and gave Ferhat Said a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute of the match Bouabdellah Metref sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoine Medaci skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Pauls Valley FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ferhat Said hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Djamal Boufroura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Medaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pauls Valley FC's Antoine Medaci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Pauls Valley FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Djamal Boufroura in the 33rd minute of play forced Pauls Valley FC's goalkeeper Antoine Medaci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cambridge FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Slimane Aggoune hit a great ball. The supporters of Cambridge FC booed when Pauls Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Mouzaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ali Mouzaoui got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Pauls Valley FC. Said Abbas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Antoine Medaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pauls Valley FC's Abd al-Aziz Ouyahia got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Djamal Boufroura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Djamal Boufroura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antoine Medaci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamal Boufroura in the 53rd minute of play. Ferhat Said kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Antoine Medaci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Said Abbas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Samir Madjer's late challenge caught a Cambridge FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. It was beautiful to see Cambridge FC's Ahmed Aribi in action when he in the 64th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 72nd minute, Djamal Boufroura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antoine Medaci was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cheb Moussaoui was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. Slimane Aggoune blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoine Medaci having to make a save. When Cambridge FC's Said Abbas in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pauls Valley FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Pauls Valley FC's Ferhat Said got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Said Abbas came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cambridge FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Said Abbas couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Cambridge FC's Samir Djebar got control of the ball when Ali Radjef tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Radjef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Samir Djebar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pauls Valley FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cambridge FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
