Cheb Diss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fitzgerald FC. If François Boulahfane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. François Boulahfane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheb Zahouania having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Fitzgerald FC's goalkeeper Cheb Zahouania had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hachemi Nabil. Cheb Diss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from François Bezzaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. François Boulahfane might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cheb Zahouania. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. François Boulahfane ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 27 minutes, Tayeb Amirouche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fitzgerald FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tayeb Amirouche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. François Bezzaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cheb Diss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Cheb Diss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from François Bezzaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fitzgerald FC booed when Saugus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kateb Kerbouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tayeb Amirouche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cheb Diss was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Saugus FC's Cheb Diss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tayeb Amirouche in the 40th minute of play. Cheb Diss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from François Bezzaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Cheb Diss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from François Bezzaz in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell François Boulahfane to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Hachemi Nabil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54thth minute of the game Hachemi Nabil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fitzgerald FC's Cheb Zahouania was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tayeb Amirouche's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Cheb Diss skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cheb Diss was a little too slow when François Bezzaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. Tayeb Amirouche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. François Bezzaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheb Diss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from François Bezzaz in the 69th minute of play. Saugus FC's Cheb Diss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by François Bezzaz in the 70th minute of play. Tayeb Amirouche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fitzgerald FC's François Bezzaz in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 84 minutes, Tayeb Amirouche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fitzgerald FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tayeb Amirouche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
