Michigan's Fathi Reda Madouni shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rachid Amri but with some difficulty. If Abdelaziz Piaf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelmalek Yahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthar Megharia in the 20th minute of play. Redha Belhadj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 27 played minutes Islip got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Ammour. Smail Sahraoui took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rachid Amri. Islip's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Islip fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Abdelaziz Piaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Amri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelaziz Piaf during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ahmed Ammour kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Boughera Saïdi-Sief was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Islip's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Michigan the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Islip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boughera Saïdi-Sief to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Michigan's Smail Sahraoui broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Ammour blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelmalek Yahia having to make a save. Abdelmalek Yahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc in the 74th minute of the match. Abdelmalek Yahia made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Anthar Megharia sent off a good shot on target. When Abdelaziz Piaf came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Michigan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelaziz Piaf couldn't finish the play. Islip's Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Anthar Megharia made a precise shot to the right of Abdelmalek Yahia. Michigan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Michigan's zone, Anthar Megharia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelmalek Yahia came out of the goal and Anthar Megharia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Maamar Hamrouche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Michigan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Islip the free kick. Maamar Hamrouche hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Mohammed Ahmed Ben Maroc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelmalek Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthar Megharia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Abdelmalek Yahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Islip eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
