Ranger AFC's Salim Bouzid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maamar Bentifour in the 33rd minute of play. When Fodil Zeghdoud fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranger AFC's protests and gave Fodil Zeghdoud a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Fodil Zeghdoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes Ranger AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Mamouni. In the 40th minute, Fodil Zeghdoud fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jussef Ben Fellahi, passed just outside the right post. 45 minutes into the game, Maamar Bentifour cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Salim Bouzid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maamar Bentifour to make the kick off. Dida Dahleb hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jussef Ben Fellahi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benamar Ouadah's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Maamar Bentifour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salim Bouzid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 65 played minutes, East Palo Alto AFC's Noureddine Al-Jazairia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Salim Bouzid came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Palo Alto AFC reached it. Ranger AFC's Fodil Zeghdoud got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Fodil Zeghdoud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fodil Zeghdoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jussef Ben Fellahi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Mohammed Douibi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
