The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Billel El-Kenz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelhamid Faudel was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Fair Haven FC's Rachid Said got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tayeb Lacen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Seghiri having to make a save. Mohammad Seghiri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Said in the 12th minute of the match. Billel El-Kenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Fair Haven FC got a freekick which was hit by Salah Liegeon. In the 17th minute, Billel El-Kenz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohammad Seghiri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tayeb Lacen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tayeb Lacen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Seghiri having to interfere. Brahim Djebbour was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. Abdelhamid Faudel went to the wrong direction when Robert Abrika was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rachid Said to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ali Bouzid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rachid Said sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammad Seghiri made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rachid Said sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Fair Haven FC's zone, Ali Bouzid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelhamid Faudel came out of the goal and Ali Bouzid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Fair Haven FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Bouzid came free, but Abdelhamid Faudel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdelhamid Faudel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billel El-Kenz in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Galveston's goalkeeper Mohammad Seghiri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rachid Said. If Rachid Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ali Bouzid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billel El-Kenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelhamid Faudel having to interfere. Abdelhamid Faudel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes Fair Haven FC got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Said. When Ali Bouzid came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Galveston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Bouzid couldn't finish the play. Galveston's Ali Bouzid got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdelhamid Faudel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billel El-Kenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 91 minutes, Ali Bouzid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galveston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Bouzid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galveston's Mohammad Seghiri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Said in the 93rd minute of play. Rachid Said fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Seghiri having to interfere. The Fair Haven FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
