The supporters of Galveston booed when Newcomerstown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Ben Ahmed Lelouch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tayeb Liegeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Bouzid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Nadir Raï managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Bouzid during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ali Bouzid hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nadir Raï got free with Mohammad Seghiri in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed Ben Ahmed Lelouch made a kick off. Mohammad Seghiri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nadir Raï in the 51st minute of the match. Mohamed Ben Ahmed Lelouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Seghiri having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Robert Abrika sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newcomerstown AFC's Tayeb Liegeon didn't even have to move. Billel El-Kenz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tayeb Liegeon having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galveston players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Newcomerstown AFC.
