Anther Madouni took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benamar Mehenni. Monte Sereno FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nasserredine Drioueche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reda Hamrouche having to make a save. Nasserredine Drioueche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Reda Hamrouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Ferhat Saïfi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Damascus and the Monte Sereno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Damascus getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ferhat Saïfi hit a great ball. When Nasserredine Drioueche came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Monte Sereno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nasserredine Drioueche couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, one of Damascus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benamar Mehenni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdellah El-Hadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Medjoudj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djamel El-Hadi kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Belaid Aliche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Damascus's supporters rose to their feet, but Belaid Aliche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benamar Mehenni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nasserredine Drioueche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Reda Hamrouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Monte Sereno FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismaël Toumi. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nasserredine Drioueche made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Nasserredine Drioueche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monte Sereno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nasserredine Drioueche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reda Hamrouche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belaid Aliche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Monte Sereno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdellah El-Hadi came free, but Benamar Mehenni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Damascus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Hima to maneuver through the defense. Yacine Hadjadj kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Damascus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdellah El-Hadi to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Damascus's goal looked a bit too open when Mamaar Bessou came free, but Reda Hamrouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damascus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohamed Medjoudj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Rafik Lacarne fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte Sereno FC's protests and gave Rafik Lacarne a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Monte Sereno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafik Lacarne to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Nasserredine Drioueche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Reda Hamrouche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Monte Sereno FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Damascus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
