Anther Ouyahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nourredine Ighil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Yahia Morceli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rabah Harkouk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Rabah Benzine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnum Island AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jericho AFC the free kick. Rabah Benzine hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Barnum Island AFC's Yacine Harkouk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rabah Harkouk. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. 1-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Nuno Linares elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nuno Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jericho AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nourredine Ighil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Linares struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yahia Morceli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abdelaziz Fadhil Mohamed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute.
