Kaunakakai's Tayeb Amara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Hamdoud in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Kaunakakai getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Belaid Brahimi hit a great ball. Zīn ud-Dīn Kourichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tayeb Amara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Mohamed Hamdoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayeb Amara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moulay Harkat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelaziz Sofiane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moulay Harkat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lake Ridge FC's Medjadi Kouri got a free kick in the 28th minute. Moulay Harkat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Sofiane having to interfere. Mohamed Hamdoud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tayeb Amara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Zīn ud-Dīn Kourichi took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tayeb Amara. Tayeb Amara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 57th minute of the match, Moulay Harkat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abdelaziz Sofiane saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Zīn ud-Dīn Kourichi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tayeb Amara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Hamdoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The supporters of Lake Ridge FC booed when Kaunakakai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djamel Al-Jazairia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Djamel Al-Jazairia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdelaziz Sofiane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Abdelaziz Sofiane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kaunakakai. In the 96th minute, Medjadi Kouri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lake Ridge FC had won after a very even match.
