Said Brahimi struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Karim Allalou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warrenton. Mehdi Cohen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karim Allalou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Warrenton's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Boniche came free, but Camel Belloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hocine Boniche came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Abidjan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hocine Boniche couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Warrenton's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Boniche came free, but Camel Belloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehdi Cohen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warrenton's Camel Belloumi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mimoun Moussa in the 18th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, FC Abidjan's Mimoun Moussa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camel Belloumi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Abidjan's Guillaume Laurent Benida got a free kick in the 37th minute. Mouloud Benflis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Karim Allalou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Said Brahimi in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Said Brahimi made a kick off. Warrenton were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after FC Abidjan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lakhdar Cohen-Tannoudji took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehdi Cohen in the 56th minute of play forced FC Abidjan's goalkeeper Karim Allalou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Mimoun Moussa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Abidjan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mimoun Moussa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, FC Abidjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Said Amara to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Lakhdar Cohen-Tannoudji sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Abidjan's Karim Allalou didn't even have to move. After 71 minutes, Said Brahimi made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Abidjan's Karim Allalou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hocine Boniche had several of the Warrenton's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Camel Belloumi as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mimoun Moussa in the 90th minute of play forced Warrenton's goalkeeper Camel Belloumi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belaid Benmabrouk's late challenge caught a FC Abidjan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belaid Benmabrouk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Warrenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belaid Benmabrouk to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mimoun Moussa in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camel Belloumi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
