An unexpectedly hard shot by Tedj Meskine in the 3rd minute of play forced Gwinn's goalkeeper Frantz Moll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamid Mezdad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mansour Abrika in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Mansour Abrika ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamid Mezdad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Walid Drioueche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mansour Abrika came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gwinn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mansour Abrika couldn't finish the play. If Tedj Meskine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamid Mezdad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walid Drioueche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Daho Saïdi-Sief had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frantz Moll. Gwinn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daho Saïdi-Sief was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Hamid Mezdad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mansour Abrika in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Daho Saïdi-Sief's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frantz Moll was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. McAllen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Walid Drioueche scored to the left of an out of position Hamid Mezdad, making the score, 2-1. Gwinn's Walid Drioueche got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamid Mezdad made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Mansour Abrika sent off a good shot on target. Walid Drioueche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walid Drioueche to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Djabir Bentaala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frantz Moll. Djabir Bentaala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kamel Rimitti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Frantz Moll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mansour Abrika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Mezdad having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mansour Abrika in the 71st minute of play forced McAllen's goalkeeper Hamid Mezdad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frantz Moll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daho Saïdi-Sief, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Daho Saïdi-Sief had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
