After 40 minutes of play, Deerfield FC's Djamal Amirouche made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 44th minute, Abderrahmane Sami Yachir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Emerald Isle FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deerfield FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lakhdar Kafi to make the kick off. In the 72nd match minute, Deerfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djamal Amirouche to maneuver through the defense. Lakhdar Kafi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karim Diss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abderrahmane Sami Yachir in the 77th minute of play. Karim Diss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hemza Amirouche in the 81st minute of the match. The Deerfield FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
