The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salim Belloumi helped the player get up and apologised. When Madjid Nabil came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Pekin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madjid Nabil couldn't finish the play. When Gonzales AFC's Zoheir Zeghdoud in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gonzales AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mohammad Méniri 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzales AFC's zone, Madjid Nabil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Bougherra came out of the goal and Madjid Nabil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Madjid Nabil notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gonzales AFC's Mohammad Bougherra. Mohammad Bougherra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 25 minutes, Mohammad Méniri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pekin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohammad Méniri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismaël Zidane took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Menad Belkacem. Menad Belkacem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Zoheir Zeghdoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menad Belkacem having to interfere. Menad Belkacem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismaël Zidane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play Gonzales AFC's Salim Belloumi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Pekin FC booed when Gonzales AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salim Belloumi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammad Méniri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rachid Fergani fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonzales AFC's protests and gave Rachid Fergani a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Rachid Fergani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohammad Bougherra came out of the goal and Mohammad Méniri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Madjid Nabil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mohammad Bougherra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismaël Zidane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Mohammad Méniri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madjid Nabil in the 53rd minute of play forced Gonzales AFC's goalkeeper Mohammad Bougherra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammad Bougherra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madjid Nabil in the 57th minute of the match. Madjid Nabil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mohammad Bougherra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
