Fadhil Bedjaoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacine Saïd-Guerni having to interfere. Vandergrift FC's Sofiane Aboulker got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes, Mamaar Mihoubi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vandergrift FC and the Pocatello players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Vandergrift FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mamaar Mihoubi to maneuver through the defense. Mamaar Mihoubi kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Fadhil Bedjaoui hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vandergrift FC booed when Pocatello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelhamid Nekkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pocatello's Abdelhamid Nekkar in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Yacine Saïd-Guerni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasdi Belloumi in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocatello's goalkeeper Yacine Saïd-Guerni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tahar Mammeri kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Vandergrift FC's Dida Dib couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pocatello. In the 39th minute, Fadhil Bedjaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelhamid Nekkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Karim Nasro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karim Nasro made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Bouzid Reda Madouni sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasdi Belloumi was the one to do the kick off. If Fadhil Bedjaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a left leg Karim Nasro saved Vandergrift FC from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Vandergrift FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhamid Nekkar came free, but Karim Nasro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karim Nasro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelhamid Nekkar in the 80th minute of play. Abdelhamid Nekkar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karim Nasro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Karim Nasro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelhamid Nekkar's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Bouzid Reda Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
