Port Allen FC's Mouloud Abbas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalida Merbah in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Port Allen FC's Chih El Ouafi got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Port Allen FC defense, Djamel Bitat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mouloud Abbas. The Port Allen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mouloud Abbas should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Khalida Merbah ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mouloud Abbas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Djamel Bitat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mouloud Abbas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Djamel Bitat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rachid Ahmed to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Mustapha Metref hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohammed Prévost hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Mouloud Abbas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 69 played minutes Port Allen FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamid Chebal. Mouloud Abbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalida Merbah in the 70th minute of play. Khalida Merbah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mouloud Abbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rachid Firoud's late challenge caught a Port Allen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rachid Firoud helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Farragut getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rachid Firoud hit a great ball. Djamel Bitat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Khalida Merbah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamid Chebal during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Port Allen FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Hamid Chebal hit a great ball. With a little luck, Port Allen FC's Mouloud Abbas got control of the ball when Djamel Bitat tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Djamel Bitat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farragut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Djamel Bitat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Farragut walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
