An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Bouazza in the 18th minute of play forced Orchard Mesa AFC's goalkeeper Meziane Fadhil Mohamed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ben Bouazza made a precise shot to the right of Meziane Fadhil Mohamed. Orchard Mesa AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 31 minutes into the game, Salim Messaoudi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orchard Mesa AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waconia the free kick. A collision led to Orchard Mesa AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ahmed Nekkar hit a great ball. Smail Benhamou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Meziane Fadhil Mohamed. Orchard Mesa AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Waconia's Smail Benhamou got a free kick in the 48th minute. Orchard Mesa AFC's Hakim Madjer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Waconia. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Orchard Mesa AFC's Salim Messaoudi got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hameur Radjef might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meziane Fadhil Mohamed. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hameur Radjef ran back to his position shaking his head. Abdellah Sam struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cherif Labi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orchard Mesa AFC. Cherif Labi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from El Ben Khalidi in the 74th minute of play. Cherif Labi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim Messaoudi, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Abdellah Sam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Waconia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noureddine Sadmi to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Ben Bouazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meziane Fadhil Mohamed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Salim Messaoudi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salim Messaoudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cherif Labi having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Salim Messaoudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orchard Mesa AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salim Messaoudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despite being the better team, Orchard Mesa AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
