The referee showed Rachid Bruel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nourredine Dahleb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Kraouche in the 34th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Leon Amara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bluffdale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Centre the free kick. Leon Amara kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Leon Amara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 46 minutes on the clock, Abdel Megharia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Bluffdale a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hamid Liegeon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Centre's Mouloud Abbas. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Mouloud Abbas had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Hamid Liegeon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bluffdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Smail Feraoun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Centre's Ben Kraouche got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Centre's Mouloud Abbas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Centre from getting a goal against them. Smail Feraoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
