The crowd rose to their feet as Rachid Lacen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cheb Yacef. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Bloomfield Township's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Rachid Lacen scored to the left of an out of position Cheb Yacef, making the score, 2-0. Soltani Khaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Lamine having to interfere. Youssef Mohamed hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Geneseo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. El Kerkar hit a great ball. If Soltani Khaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Soltani Khaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Lamine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferhat Ziani during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ferhat Ziani hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ali Lamine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mourad El-Hadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Geneseo's Ferhat Ziani got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Geneseo's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad El-Hadi came free, but Ali Lamine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cheb Yacef made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ismaïl Zidane sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Ali Mohamed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bloomfield Township and the Geneseo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Ali Mohamed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
Abdelaziz Aarache hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute Ismaïl Zidane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheb Yacef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Lamine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mourad El-Hadi in the 64th minute of the match. Ismaïl Zidane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Soltani Khaldi got free with Ali Lamine in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mourad El-Hadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bloomfield Township's supporters rose to their feet, but Mourad El-Hadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Lamine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mourad El-Hadi in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Lamine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 78 minutes of play Geneseo's Youssef Mohamed was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Soltani Khaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Lamine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mourad El-Hadi in the 83rd minute of the match. Mourad El-Hadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Lamine having to interfere.
