The Shoreline fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Shoreline's Abdelhamid Mamouni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute, Abdelhamid Mamouni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Geneseo's goal looked a bit too open when Abdel Hamid Liegeon came free, but Ali Lamine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Geneseo defense, Abdel Hamid Liegeon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Lamine. The Geneseo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Lamine should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelnacer Bouazza during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Shoreline got a freekick which was hit by Abdelnacer Bouazza. Ismael Firoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rachid Lacen in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Abdelaziz Ben Khalidi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shoreline's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geneseo the free kick. 39 minutes into the game, one of Shoreline:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hocine Beloufa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Abdelnacer Bouazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdel Hamid Liegeon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ismael Firoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismaïl Zidane in the 58th minute of play. Ismael Firoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismaïl Zidane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 66 minutes, Ismaïl Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ismaïl Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geneseo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismaïl Zidane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Firoud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 75 minutes, Rachid Lacen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geneseo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Lacen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes, Shoreline's Abdelaziz Ben Khalidi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ali Lamine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shoreline reached it. Ismael Firoud stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismaïl Zidane's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rachid Lacen in the 86th minute of play forced Shoreline's goalkeeper Ismael Firoud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Shoreline's goal looked a bit too open when Ismaïl Zidane came free, but Ismael Firoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
