Moscow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bridge City the free kick. Bridge City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Said Bitat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bridge City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mebarek Benhamou charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mebarek Benhamou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yazid Firoud was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ahmed Yahi. 35 minutes into the match, Moscow's goal looked a bit too open when René Djamel came free, but Lakhdar Yacef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Bridge City's goalkeeper Yazid Firoud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khalida Skif. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Said Bitat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Moscow getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Brahim Mecherara hit a great ball. Tedj Deghmani was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. René Djamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lakhdar Yacef having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Nadir Timsit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yazid Firoud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yahia Zaoui went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Yazid Firoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalida Skif in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Yacine Ben Khalidi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yazid Firoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khalida Skif, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
