The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Karim Cherrad fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roy's protests and gave Karim Cherrad a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belaid Timsit in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tayeb Liegeon saved Roy from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hemza Amara during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Roy's Hemza Amara got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Belaid Timsit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roy's Tayeb Liegeon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Belaid Timsit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy's Tayeb Liegeon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Hamid Brahima in the 17th minute of play. Frantz El-Hadi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Noureddine Hamdani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Belaid Timsit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Belaid Timsit made a precise shot to the right of Tayeb Liegeon. Roy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tayeb Liegeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Hamid Brahima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Roy's goal looked a bit too open when Belaid Timsit came free, but Tayeb Liegeon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tayeb Liegeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Hamid Brahima in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Noureddine Aziz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noureddine Aziz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

52 minutes into the match, Frantz El-Hadi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noureddine Hamdani. Tuba City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frantz El-Hadi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Frantz El-Hadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuba City's Ahmed Hamid Brahima got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Tuba City booed when Roy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Aziz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ahmed Hamid Brahima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Rabah Khelaifia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Belaid Timsit came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Tuba City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belaid Timsit couldn't finish the play. Frantz El-Hadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Noureddine Hamdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th play minute Belaid Timsit came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tayeb Liegeon. 1-2.
