The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toufik Bouzid received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yazid Hima came out and tried to block the shot, but Toufik Bouzid slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Ismaël Hemdani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Yazid Hima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toufik Bouzid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Robert Zidane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yazid Ulansi. Farmville FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Zidane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Robert Zidane might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yazid Ulansi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Zidane ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Farmville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Oussar came free, but Yazid Ulansi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Farmville FC defense, Ahmed Oussar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yazid Ulansi. The Farmville FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yazid Ulansi should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Ahmed Oussar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yazid Ulansi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Farmville FC's goalkeeper Yazid Ulansi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Farmville FC's Yazid Ulansi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Zidane in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Toufik Bouzid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yazid Hima was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Yazid Ulansi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Oussar, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ahmed Oussar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yazid Ulansi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, San Angelo's Ahmed Oussar got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in San Angelo's zone, Ismaël Hemdani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yazid Hima came out of the goal and Ismaël Hemdani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toufik Bouzid to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Robert Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Angelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Zidane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yazid Ulansi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismaël Hemdani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, San Angelo's Madhi El-Ouafi got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute Ismaël Hemdani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yazid Hima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toufik Bouzid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, Robert Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Angelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Zidane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87thth minute of the game Toufik Bouzid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Angelo's Yazid Hima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Toufik Bouzid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
