After a rather tough play, Des Plaines FC's Sid Ahmed Boufroura got a free kick in the 4th minute. A hard shot 7 in the game by Hocine Ahmed from a close distance when the talented Redha Khaled managed to make a qualified save. Des Plaines FC's players were relieved. Des Plaines FC's Redha Khaled played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larbi Ammour in the 8th minute of play. Waukee AFC's Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abd el Ben Khalidi in the 10th minute of play. The Waukee AFC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Waukee AFC's Hocine Ahmed looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Waukee AFC's zone, Amar Dahleb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji came out of the goal and Amar Dahleb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Abd el Ben Khalidi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Larbi Ammour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Redha Khaled tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abd al-Asis Daham kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Des Plaines FC's Amar Dahleb in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Waukee AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abd el Ben Khalidi to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Larbi Ammour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waukee AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larbi Ammour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Waukee AFC's Karim Belkacem got a free kick in the 55th minute. Abdel Hamid Nekkar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Abd el Ben Khalidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abd al-Asis Daham kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Larbi Ammour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waukee AFC's Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abd el Ben Khalidi in the 68th minute of play. Hocine Ahmed took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Redha Khaled. Redha Khaled dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Abd el Ben Khalidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Chadli Malek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waukee AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Des Plaines FC the free kick. Chadli Malek hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Waukee AFC booed when Des Plaines FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdel Hamid Nekkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abd el Ben Khalidi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Des Plaines FC's Amar Dahleb made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodil Cohen-Tannoudji was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Rafik Mammeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hocine Ahmed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
