Maïssa Madouni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mouloud Skif in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Hailey got a freekick which was hit by Jean Hamdani. Maïssa Madouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelnacer Temmam in the 33rd minute of the match. Mouloud Skif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Mouloud Skif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinajana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mouloud Skif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maïssa Madouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelnacer Temmam, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Thelma Achiou kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Ahmed Madouni sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmed Abbas skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 63rd minute Mokdad Merbah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Abbas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Ahmed Lacarne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Hailey lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
