The Rockaway AFC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Rockaway AFC's Khalida Yahi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Said Laref received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Abdelhamid Kermali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Said Laref in the 30th minute of play forced Sylvester's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Kermali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Said Laref managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockaway AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Said Laref was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Said Laref to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Rahouli during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abdelhamid Kermali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalida Yahi in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Rockaway AFC booed when Sylvester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reda Aliche didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Said Laref in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelhamid Kermali saved Sylvester from getting behind. Abdelhamid Kermali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Said Laref, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Youssef Djebbour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sylvester players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rockaway AFC.
