Ahmed Cohen-Tannoudji charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nourredine Sofiane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Assia Fari hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Abdelhamid Meniri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Mami in the 48th minute of play.
