In the 5th minute Cheb Mami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahmoud Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Youssef Rimitti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Port Sulphur FC's Cheb Mami in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elmsford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tedj Tahar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Port Sulphur FC's Nourredine Sofiane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tedj Tahar in the 12th minute of play. Nourredine Sofiane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tedj Tahar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Youssef Rimitti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Yahia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheb Mami in the 19th minute of play forced Elmsford AFC's goalkeeper Mahmoud Yahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Mebarek Zeghdoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmsford AFC's Chaba Madani came free and shot a quick shot against goal 26 minutes in the game, fortunately Nourredine Sofiane had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to Port Sulphur FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mohamed El-Ouafi hit a great ball. Chaba Madani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nourredine Sofiane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When Yazid Saïdi-Sief fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Port Sulphur FC's protests and gave Yazid Saïdi-Sief a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Yazid Saïdi-Sief hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 played minutes, Elmsford AFC's Fodil Moussa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nourredine Sofiane came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elmsford AFC reached it. Tedj Tahar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Chaba Madani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nourredine Sofiane. Port Sulphur FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chaba Madani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 66 minutes into the match, Youssef Rimitti notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Elmsford AFC's Mahmoud Yahia. Mahmoud Yahia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cheb Mami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Yahia having to interfere. Cheb Mami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahmoud Yahia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cheb Mami's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Youssef Rimitti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mahmoud Yahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Mami in the 86th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Mebarek Zeghdoud mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elmsford AFC and the Port Sulphur FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Elmsford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mebarek Zeghdoud to maneuver through the defense.
