Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mohamed Ouadah kicked off to start the match. When Mohammed Ahmed Khalef fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coventry Lake's protests and gave Mohammed Ahmed Khalef a yellow card for diving instead. Mohammed Ahmed Khalef hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Murphy AFC's Hocine Daham couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Coventry Lake. In the 5th minute, Mohammed Ahmed Khalef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 6th minute of the match Mohammed Ahmed Khalef completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mohammed Ahmed Khalef a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Djamal Guendouz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Djamal Guendouz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faouzi Ziani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmed Reda Kaci Said kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Faouzi Ziani might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bouzid Megharia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faouzi Ziani ran back to his position shaking his head. Hocine Daham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maïssa Kerkar. Coventry Lake's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Maïssa Kerkar had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Hocine Daham's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Murphy AFC's Cheb Djebbour in 32 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Maïssa Kerkar guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Djamal Guendouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maïssa Kerkar having to interfere. Billel Khendu's late challenge caught a Coventry Lake's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billel Khendu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Coventry Lake booed when Murphy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billel Khendu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Coventry Lake's goal looked a bit too open when Cheb Djebbour came free, but Maïssa Kerkar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed Ouadah charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Ouadah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Mohamed Ouadah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murphy AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hocine Daham in the 47th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Abdelnacer Brahami heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cheb Djebbour made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Rafik Abbas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry Lake and the Murphy AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rafik Abbas kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Maïssa Kerkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Djebbour in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salah Zidane during the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Cheb Djebbour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maïssa Kerkar was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Djamal Guendouz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Maïssa Kerkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faouzi Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Murphy AFC's zone, Faouzi Ziani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bouzid Megharia came out of the goal and Faouzi Ziani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Djamal Guendouz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Maïssa Kerkar made a huge save. After 78 minutes, Djamal Guendouz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Coventry Lake's Maïssa Kerkar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Coventry Lake's Mohamed Ouadah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bouzid Megharia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Maïssa Kerkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Djebbour in the 89th minute of play. Mamaar Mansouri struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Maïssa Kerkar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murphy AFC. Karim Liegeon's late challenge caught a Murphy AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karim Liegeon helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Coventry Lake got a freekick which was hit by Karim Liegeon. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
