After a rather tough play, Florham's Mansour Belkheir got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Mohamed Hadjadj shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmed Morceli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If El Zidane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Morceli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djamel Bouzid having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Djabir Benhamou during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Djabir Benhamou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Kamel Morceli notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tonkawa AFC's Djamel Bouzid. Djamel Bouzid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. El Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Morceli having to interfere. Charles Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djamel Bouzid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Morceli in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Mourad Cixous shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Morceli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Kamel Morceli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 38 minutes into the game, Florham's Kamel Morceli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Djamel Bouzid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mourad Cixous recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Tonkawa AFC's Mourad Cixous sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmed Morceli narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell El Zidane to make the kick off. El Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mohamed Abrika fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tonkawa AFC's protests and gave Mohamed Abrika a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Florham got a freekick which was hit by Mansour Belkheir. Kamel Morceli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Djamel Bouzid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Charles Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Ouyahia's late challenge caught a Tonkawa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Ouyahia helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Ahmed Morceli, was totally fooled by Tonkawa AFC's Mohamed Hadjadj, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Florham succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tonkawa AFC had controlled the match.
