Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ali Yahia started the match with the kick off. Robert Belhadj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustapha Madouni having to interfere. When Ali Yahia came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Gautier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Yahia couldn't finish the play. Tahar Madani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Yahia in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Gautier booed when Fort Dix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nordine Sami Yachir didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Assia Boudiaf in the 21st minute of play forced Fort Dix's goalkeeper Tahar Madani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Assia Boudiaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tahar Madani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Gautier's Assia Boudiaf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tahar Madani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fort Dix's Tahar Madani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Assia Boudiaf in the 31st minute of play. Tahar Madani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Assia Boudiaf in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Assia Boudiaf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tahar Madani was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Tahar Madani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Yahia in the 37th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Ali Yahia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tahar Madani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gautier's Assia Boudiaf got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Fort Dix getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jean Bouziane hit a great ball. If Ali Yahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdelnacer Sennaoui was the one to do the kick off. If Abdelnacer Sennaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelnacer Sennaoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustapha Madouni having to interfere. Robert Belhadj's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustapha Madouni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Ali Yahia struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Tahar Madani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gautier. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fort Dix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rabah Khelaifia was slow to take the kick. During this time Gautier's players had a chance to rest. Noureddine Larbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Fort Dix:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gautier:s goal. Robert Belhadj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustapha Madouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Belhadj in the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gautier eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
