Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4thth minute of the game Karim Bella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Mesa's Abd al-Asis Chebal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kassel Mekhloufi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mahieddine Khaled made a huge save. 15 minutes in the game, Kassel Mekhloufi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mahieddine Khaled having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Liamine Yahia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mahieddine Khaled to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Virginia Beach's zone, Kassel Mekhloufi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahieddine Khaled came out of the goal and Kassel Mekhloufi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Karim Djebbour made a precise shot to the right of Abd al-Asis Chebal. Costa Mesa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Costa Mesa's Abd al-Asis Chebal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Bella in the 31st minute of play. Abd al-Asis Chebal came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Virginia Beach's Karim Bella. But to his dismay, Karim Bella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Liamine Yahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mahieddine Khaled tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kassel Mekhloufi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hakim Schoonmaker to strike the kick off in the second half. When Virginia Beach's Hakim Schoonmaker in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Virginia Beach defense, Liamine Yahia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mahieddine Khaled. The Virginia Beach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mahieddine Khaled should have stopped the shot. If Kassel Mekhloufi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
