In the 11th minute, Smail el Ibrahimi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Smail el Ibrahimi in the 15th minute of play forced Needham AFC's goalkeeper Farid Aboulker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Tanglewood Forest AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoheir Merzekane came free, but Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Needham AFC's Nassim Feraoun got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Needham AFC's goalkeeper Farid Aboulker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelkader Zitouni. Smail el Ibrahimi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoheir Merzekane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Tanglewood Forest AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoheir Merzekane came free, but Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Tanglewood Forest AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reda Kourichi to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute of the match Mehdi Daham shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Smail el Ibrahimi to make the kick off. Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zoheir Merzekane in the 53rd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Tanglewood Forest AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dida Kharroubi came free, but Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes in the game, Nassim Feraoun fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi having to interfere. When Abdelkader Zitouni came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Tanglewood Forest AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelkader Zitouni couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nassim Feraoun got free with Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 72 minutes, Zoheir Merzekane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Needham AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoheir Merzekane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Zoheir Merzekane recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi. Zoheir Merzekane showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Nassim Feraoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoheir Merzekane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tanglewood Forest AFC's Reda Kourichi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd minute, Mehdi Daham sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tanglewood Forest AFC's Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi didn't even have to move. Hamid Hanin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zoheir Merzekane in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abd al-Aziz El Ouafi saved Tanglewood Forest AFC from getting behind. Abdelkader Zitouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Needham AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
