Cherif Kourichi started the match with the kick off. Ali Drioueche might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Knodi Aggoune. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Drioueche ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Beaver AFC defense, Cherif Kourichi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camel Zeghdoud. The Beaver AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camel Zeghdoud should have stopped the shot. Knodi Aggoune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Drioueche, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Karim Morceli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knodi Aggoune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Drioueche in the 23rd minute of play. If Mohamed Medaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cherif Kourichi might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camel Zeghdoud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Merbah in the 49th minute of play forced Gibraltar's goalkeeper Knodi Aggoune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Drioueche to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, Karim Morceli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mohamed Medaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cherif Kourichi in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camel Zeghdoud saved Beaver AFC from getting behind. Cherif Kourichi might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camel Zeghdoud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cherif Kourichi ran back to his position shaking his head. Beaver AFC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 88th minute of the game, when Alain Bruel after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Gibraltar's goal. Alain Bruel was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Camel Zeghdoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Medaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Medaci struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Camel Zeghdoud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gibraltar. Rafik Mérah-Benida hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. If Ali Drioueche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gibraltar had won after a very even match.
