Ahmed Bezzaz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Higginsville AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ahmed Bezzaz hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, North Potomac FC's Cherif Cherrad broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Abdelaziz Kouidri hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Nordine Harkouk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for François Gourion. Higginsville AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nasserredine Achiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. François Gourion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Higginsville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nasserredine Achiou came free, but François Gourion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Higginsville AFC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Higginsville AFC's Tayeb Akrour looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. North Potomac FC's Said Lacarne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tayeb Akrour in the 43rd minute of play. Said Lacarne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayeb Akrour in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tayeb Akrour made the kick off in the second half. Bellemou Chaib struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. The referee ignored North Potomac FC's protests and gave Bouzid Amara a yellow card for diving instead.
