The supporters of Higginsville AFC booed when Airmont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Ahmed Hima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Hicham Zahouania hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Higginsville AFC's Tayeb Akrour in the 30th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Karim Haddou was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Airmont AFC through an amazing save. Tayeb Akrour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mansour Belmellat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. François Gourion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Tayeb Akrour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Higginsville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tayeb Akrour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karim Haddou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tayeb Akrour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
