In the 4th minute, Menad Dahleb made a precise shot to the right of Mahmoud Bensaïd. Morton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Morton fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Morton's Mimoun Karim Belkassem looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 14 minutes into the match, Morton's Samir Schoonmaker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean Aribi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Menad Dahleb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Aribi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mimoun Karim Belkassem went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Menad Dahleb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alturas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Mahmoud Bensaïd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menad Dahleb in the 34th minute of play. Mahmoud Bensaïd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Morton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alturas FC the free kick. After 96 played minutes Morton got a freekick which was hit by Lakhdar Assad. The Morton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alturas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
