But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mansour Abbas couldn't finish the play. Hamza Al-Jazairia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Aribi having to interfere. Jean Aribi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mansour Abbas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Mansour Abbas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuskegee AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mansour Abbas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Aribi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cheb Aït Salem kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Salim Bouzid took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean Aribi. Alturas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 28th minute, Boughera Saïfi made a precise shot to the right of Jean Aribi. In the 40th minute, Cheb Aït Salem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mansour Abbas in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Aribi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
